Different.Better.Special.
Staying with us turns a trip to Cusco into an unforgettably unique escape. Here are just some of the features that make us stand out from
the crowd.
COURTYARD
The hotel’s pièce de résistance is its jaw-dropping symmetrical courtyard. Laced with walkways and flowerbeds, the most prominent feature is the towering 300-year-old cedar tree that sits in the middle. By day, head to the courtyard’s cloisters and enjoy tea or a light lunch. Or take pen and paper, settle down by the central fountain and let the muses strike. In the evenings the courtyard’s graceful arches are accentuated by beautiful lighting. When darkness falls, the illuminated arches make a sensational frame for the starry night sky above.
THERAPY SUITE
Belmond Hotel Monasterio is the perfect place to relax and revive. Choose soothing aromatherapy or an energizing Thai massage from the treatment menu. Or call your personal Bath Butler to prepare an indulgent end to a day of adventure and exploration.
ART COLLECTION
Belmond Hotel hosts one of Cusco’s finest collections of 18th-century colonial religious art, with original paintings both in the guest areas and the bedrooms. Take an in-depth look at the varied collection with one of our Art Tours, accompanied by an expert of religious art.

Gourmet Brunch, Afternoon Tea and Dinner Included.
Belmond Hiram Bingham is the most luxurious way to journey between Cusco and Machu Picchu. Its sumptuous 1920s-style carriages ensure a magical journey never to be forgotten. With two Dining Cars, a Bar Car, open-deck Observation Car and Kitchen Car, the train can carry up to 84 passengers.
On the journey to Machu Picchu, a gourmet brunch is served as you gaze through your window at the stunning Urubamba Valley.
Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes at 12.25pm, you will board the bus to Machu Picchu, where you enjoy a private, two-hour guided tour. Machu Picchu stands 2,430m above sea level in the middle of a tropical mountain forest. It was probably the Inca Empire’s most amazing urban creation; its giant walls, terraces and ramps seem as if they have been carved out of the rocky escarpments. The extraordinarily beautiful setting, on the eastern slopes of the Andes, encompasses the Upper Amazon basin with its rich diversity of flora and fauna.
Afterwards, retreat to Belmond Sanctuary Lodge for a traditional English-style afternoon tea.
At 4:50pm you will board the bus to Aguas Calientes, where you rejoin Belmond Hiram Bingham to Cusco. The train departs at 5:50pm. An elegant dinner is served on board (including soft drinks, Peruvian wine and pisco), as lively musicians entertain you.
